Diverse generationsNationwide, studies show that 26.2% of adult Americans experience some form of mental health challenge and half of all mental health disorders begin before the age of 14.  Almost no family is untouched by mental illness.

 

Mental Health America of the Central Valley (MHACV) brings together all mental health interests in the San Joaquin Valley–consumers/clients, family members, public and private providers, educators, community based organizations, researchers, faith based institutions, and others–in a collaborative effort to improve mental health care for the individuals and their families that who experience mental health challenges.

 

MHACV ensures that people who require mental health care, receive the services they need in a timely manner and in a way that provides them with the best opportunities to lead healthy, productive and fulfilling lives.
