Volunteer
MHACV board members and staff are mental health consumers, family members, providers, educators, and other community members who have a personal interest in improving mental health services in the San Joaquin Valley.
If you are interested in serving on our board or volunteering for our organization, please download a Board Member Application [download is coming soon!] or a Volunteer Application, and return it to us by mail. We will contact you within approximately 7-14 days after receipt.
We need volunteers for these sorts of tasks or roles:
- Office (filing, organizing, stuffing, ordering supplies)
- Telephone (fielding calls, referrals, etc.)
- Staffing Booths (fairs, conferences, etc.)
- Monthly Meetings (i.e., Mental Health Advisory Board & Committees, MHSA, Board of Supervisors when relevant)
- Becoming a trainer/speaker for community mental health education
- Website maintainance
- Print material production (graphics/text)
- Fundraising
- Outreach to rural areas and target populations (African American / Asian & Pacific Islander/
- Hispanic / Native American / GLBT-Q
- Event Planning/Organizing
- Social events for consumers/families
- Work with faith community
