MHACV board members and staff are mental health consumers, family members, providers, educators, and other community members who have a personal interest in improving mental health services in the San Joaquin Valley.

If you are interested in serving on our board or volunteering for our organization, please download a Board Member Application [download is coming soon!] or a Volunteer Application, and return it to us by mail.  We will contact you within approximately 7-14 days after receipt.

We need volunteers for these sorts of tasks or roles:

• Office (filing, organizing, stuffing, ordering supplies)
• Telephone (fielding calls, referrals, etc.)
• Staffing Booths (fairs, conferences, etc.)
• Monthly Meetings (i.e., Mental Health Advisory Board & Committees, MHSA, Board of Supervisors when relevant)
• Becoming a trainer/speaker for community mental health education
• Website maintainance
• Print material production (graphics/text)
• Fundraising
• Outreach to rural areas and target populations (African American / Asian & Pacific Islander/
• Hispanic / Native American / GLBT-Q
• Event Planning/Organizing
• Social events for consumers/families
• Work with faith community
